The East of England Development Agency’s Single Regeneration Budget (Round 6) money funded nearly 40 Projects in Great Yarmouth over the period 2000 to 2004.

Additional funding was from the Norfolk Learning Partnership (Shaping the Future) and partner organisations.

“Towards A Cohesive Learning Strategy for Great Yarmouth” (from www.odpm.gov.uk)

A 4 year scheme aimed at widening participation in community based learning, improving skills and employability, empowering individuals, social and cultural regeneration of community.

Key Outcomes:

Increase participation in learning programmes; new models of basic skills to increase levels of literacy, numeracy and higher qualifications and increase employability; increase skills in child care, electronics, construction, multi media & ICT; fall in number of excluded young people.
